The Agartana Agarwood Garden in Kedah, a symbol of cultural heritage and educational prosperity, was unveiled.

(Kedah) Agartana, a sustainable health development project driven by Heartana Global Berhad, officially unveiled its first Agartana Orchard in Bukit Selambau, and simultaneously established the Agartana Education Foundation. This milestone deeply connects nature, science, and community, not only fulfilling the brand's original intention of "harmony between heart and land," but also laying a solid foundation for cultivating the next generation of agarwood innovators and building a sustainable health ecosystem.
The first 100 customers planted by hand
The celebration brought together Agartana's first 100 core clients and numerous distinguished guests, including members of the Malaysian Royal Family who participated in the brand's first-ever exclusive tree-planting ceremony, personally planting agarwood trees to witness inheritance and rebirth. This 26-acre agarwood garden has 20 acres designated as a dedicated client planting area, while the remaining area will house the Agartana R&D Center in the third quarter of 2026, gradually expanding into health and wellness spaces to create an integrated health and wellness ecosystem encompassing planting, research, and experience.
3% of sales revenue goes towards scholarships and internships
Agarwood possesses both profound cultural and historical value and diverse industrial potential. Agartana focuses on applying agarwood to the health and healing fields, particularly its therapeutic and restorative properties. Recognising this potential, Agartana established the Agartana Education Fund, allocating 3% of the sales revenue from each agarwood tree to scholarships, internship programs, and research sponsorships to advance agarwood biotechnology, sustainability, and health innovation. The fund will operate using blockchain technology, with real-time disclosure of fund flows through the Agartana website, ensuring credibility and accountability in nurturing future industry talent and advancing agarwood research.

In December, a MoU was signed with UTAR Hospital.
Notably, Agartana also officially announced a partnership with the T&CM Centre at UTAR Hospital on the same day, with a memorandum of understanding to be signed in December this year. This collaboration marks the official start of a long-term collaboration between the two parties in agarwood biotechnology research and talent training for the health industry.
This collaboration marks the beginning of a deep integration of industry, academia, and research. In the future, students and researchers from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman will have the opportunity to reside in the agarwood plantation and participate in on-site learning activities such as soil analysis, inoculation and cultivation, green pest control, and precision harvesting processes. This will enable them to deeply integrate academic knowledge with the application of biotechnology in the industry. Those who perform exceptionally well will have the opportunity to receive employment opportunities provided by Agartana, further expanding their career prospects in the field of agarwood and health technology.

Building a harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature
“Agartana was founded with the aim of building a sustainable prosperity where humanity and nature coexist harmoniously. Today, with the first 100 clients planting their legacy trees and the simultaneous launch of the Agartana Education Foundation, we are gradually putting our original vision into practice, closely integrating sustainable development, education, and our mission. Knowledge sharing has always been a core mission of the brand, and we look forward to collaborating with more universities and institutions to jointly explore the fields of agarwood science and sustainable health,” said Yuli Chen, founder of Heartana Global Berhad, at the event.
Ay Kang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., a core partner in the health sector, was also invited to attend the event. The company is actively exploring innovative applications of agarwood in health products and exploring new possibilities for industry integration. Furthermore, Tuanku Mohd Alawuddin, Managing Director of Antah Strategic Services, and Tengku Yalia Muna, Executive Director of Antah Commodities Trading, personally planted agarwood trees at the event, demonstrating their commitment to Agartana's long-term vision of a knowledge-centric, sustainable approach to health and wellness.
With sustainable development at its core and education as its foundation, Agartana continues to deepen its core mission, creating meaningful sustainable prosperity and driving the upgrading of Malaysia's health ecosystem. Here, every agarwood tree is a symbol of inheritance, balance, and rebirth, becoming a life commitment to future generations, ensuring that the roots of health and culture continue to thrive over time.
